Man threatened with brick and robbed

Three men were arrested for allegedly threatening a man with a brick and robbing him.

A man recently opened a case of common robbery at the Primrose Police Station, after he was robbed in the Makause informal settlement.

The man told officers he was walking home when he was grabbed by three men.

“He alleged that the men grabbed him by the neck and threatened him with a brick.

“They searched his pockets and took his cellphone, wallet, ID book and driver’s licence,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The value of the items taken is estimated at R13 500.

Police were able to trace the suspects and they were arrested.

The men, aged between 23 and 27 years, have since appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their case was postponed for a bail application.
