A man recently opened a case of common robbery at the Primrose Police Station after he was accosted by a group of men on his way home.
The man told police he was walking to the Makause informal settlement when he met a group of men.
“The men allegedly grabbed the victim and roughly searched him.
“They took his cellphone and R1 300 in cash,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
Using the description given by the victim, officers were able to trace one of the men he claimed robbed him.
The 30-year-old man was arrested and taken the Primrose Police Station pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
Police are still searching for the other men allegedly involved in the robbery.
