Help centre care for the elderly

Rest-a-While is appealing to the community to donate much-needed items.

Rest-a-While Service Centre for the Aged needs the help of the community.

The elderly members of the service centre are currently knitting blankets and donations of wool are needed urgently.

It is also the time of the year when the centre starts collecting tinned food and toiletries for making up Christmas grocery hampers to give to needy elderly citizens.

“We thank the community for their ongoing support and know we can always count on them to help make a difference in the daily lives of our elderly,” said Trudy Carreira, centre manager.

For more information or to make a donation contact Trudy on 011 828-3059.
