Men found with work suits and tools

Three men were arrested after police found what they believed to be stolen property in their panel van.

During a recent patrol of Wychwood the Primrose police stopped a white panel van.

“During a search of the vehicle and its three occupants police found boxes full of work suits and tools,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

When officers asked the men, aged between 24 and 32 years old, for invoices for the goods they were noticeably panicked and could not produce the invoices.

“The men could not explain where they had obtained the goods and they were arrested,” said Maome.

“Investigations are underway to discover if the accused are linked to a business robbery in the area.”

The suspects will appear in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon.
