Youth desk raises awareness

Vehicle theft and housebreakings addressed in Sunnyridge.

Members of the Primrose Crime Prevention Youth Desk (PCPYD) and the Primrose police recently took to the streets in Sunnyridge to encourage residents to stay safe.

The PCPYD engaged with residents and warned them about the main crimes which occur in the area.

These include vehicle theft and housebreaking.

“Safety tips were given to the community and put into mailboxes,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

Maome thanked the PCPYD members for their commitment.

“Residents should learn from these young people. They are doing a good job,” he said.
