Police have previously identified Primrose as a drug hot spot and have hosted several operations aimed at cracking down on offenders.
During a routine patrol with members of the Johannesburg K9 Unit recently, the Primrose police arrested two men, aged 27 and 29 respectively, for dealing in and being in possession of drugs and possession of suspected stolen property.
The arrests were made in Filbert Street when the patrolling officers were tipped off by a member of the community.
“During the search of the two men, drugs, four cellphones and an ID that did not belong to either suspect was found,” said communications officer for the Primrose police Sgt Styles Maome.
Police arrested the suspects and they were detained at the Primrose Police Station.
The pair have since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court where the case was postponed for plea and trial.
