Germiston SAPS members help fire victims

After a fire in Dukathole the Germiston police stepped in to help.

After a fire in Dukathole, last Thursday, which led to 13 shacks being burnt to the ground, the Germiston SAPS stepped in to help.

According to the SAPS it is alleged that someone left a kettle on and this caused the fire.

The Germiston SAPS Vispol Commander, Lieut-Col Eric Khosa, and members of the Social Crime Prevention and Crime Prevention units went to Dukathole and helped the fire victims rebuild their shacks and get their lives back in order as they had lost everything.

“Sponsored vegetables were also given to the victims by the members,” said Capt André de Jager, spokesman for the Germiston SAPS.

No one was injured in the blaze.
