After some debate and the DA raising the issue of whether or not ANC candidate Clr Mzandile Masina is still employed by the City of Johannesburg, the nominations for Ekurhuleni’s executive mayor are in.
However, the DA says they are going to lodge a query about Masina’s current state of employment.
The ANC maintains that he has resigned from his position.
The nominations are Clr Mzwandile Masina (ANC) and Clr Ghaleb Cachalia (DA).
A recess is now being held before voting begins.
