Man killed with a brick

The Primrose police recently arrested a 26-year-old for murder in the Makause informal settlement.

A 26-year-old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police.

It is alleged that the man is responsible for the death of a man in the Makause informal settlement.

“Officers began investigating the case in July, when they were called to the scene of the murder by the community.

“Upon their arrival they were told that the accused had hit the victim with a brick,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

An ambulance was called to the scene where the man was declared dead.

Detectives from the station were able to trace the suspect, and he was arrested.

He will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.

Col Albertina Vesi, commander of the Primrose Police Station, thanked the community for their assistance in the case and complimented the detectives on their hard work and dedication.
