Working undercover, members of the Germiston SAPS crime prevention team arrested four suspects for allegedly selling drugs, last Monday.

The police received information from an informer, who told them the men were selling drugs at the Germiston Taxi Rank, next to the Germiston Railway Station.

He took the undercover officers to the area and pointed out the suspects.

“Twenty-four packets of nyope, 10 packets of rock, and dagga with a combined weight of 109 grams, as well as R1 500 in cash which was found on the suspects themselves, were seized,” said Capt André de Jager, spokesman for the Germiston SAPS.

The suspects, aged between 22 and 43, were arrested and detained at the Germiston Police Station and will be charged with dealing in drugs and possession of drugs and dagga.

They are due to appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
