Continued investigation leads to arrest of housebreaking suspect

The Primrose SAPS recently arrested a man for housebreaking and theft.

A 24-year-old man was recently nabbed by members of the Primrose SAPS for housebreaking and theft.

The incident took place on February 13, 2012.

The complainant alleged that he left home at 6.30am and, at 11.10am, he received a call from his neighbour, saying that someone had broken into his house.

He rushed home to find that his house had, indeed, been broken into and that jewellery to the value of R6 000 had been stolen.

“Upon inspecting the property it was found that the burglar had gained entry by breaking a window,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose SAPS.

“Police continued to investigate the matter and a suspect was recently traced and arrested.

“He appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court and the matter was postponed for a bail application.”
