For 50 years Rest-a-While Service Centre for the Aged has been serving the elderly in Primrose.
The centre recently held its 50th AGM and members flocked to the meeting.
The manager of Rest-a-While, Wendy Morgan, thanks all the members, suppliers, executive committee members and sponsors for attending.
“The success of Rest-a-While is all thanks to your dedication and commitment,” she said.
The centre also thanked Jenny Glover for donating cakes for the attendees, as well as Roxana Fruit and Veg in Germiston for donating vegetables for them to make soup, and Leslie and Mike Powell for the bread rolls.
“This enabled us to give soup and rolls free of charge to 140 people which included our delivery members and the members who attended our AGM,” said Wendy.
The staff, management members and executive committee added their thanks to Wendy who has been managing the centre for the last 10 years.
