Police target Primrose criminals
The Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.
From July 18 to 24, the Primrose police, with help from members of the EMPD, conducted several operations in Primrose.
Thirty-nine suspects were arrested as a result of these operations.
The accused were arrested on several charges, including possession of drugs, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of stolen property, shoplifting, assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm, murder, malicious damage to property, domestic violence, dealing in liquor without a license, attempted murder and fraud.
A number of illegal immigrants were also arrested.
The Primrose SAPS station commander, Lieut-Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to the arrests.
Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
