Crime on the rise in Wychwood – say police

Members of the Primrose police, Primrose Crime Prevention Youth Desk and local community patrollers took to the streets of Wychwood to raise awareness about crimes in the area.

According to reports from the Primrose police, crime in Wychwood is on the rise.

Areas hit hardest by this trend are Senator Road, Mc Alpine Road and Price Street.

Members of the Primrose police, Primrose Crime Prevention Youth Desk and local community patrollers recently took to the streets of Wychwood to make the community aware of the increase in crime.

“The community need to stand up and help the police to fight crime,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

Approximately 200 safety tips flyers were distributed to the community through the awareness campaign.

“We hope that the safety tips will help them in times of need,” said Maome.
