Nedbank assists children in need

The Rekopane Inclusive Development Centre was overwhelmed by the support they have received from Nedbank.

The Rekopane Inclusive Development Centre is getting a new lease on life, thanks to Nedbank.

The centre, started by director Snooky Kau, in Primrose East, in 2008, offers a safe haven for children with severe physical and mental disabilities.

The organisation was identified by David Motumi, branch manager of the Primrose Nedbank.

The bank heard about the centre’s plight and decided to make a difference.

“We are here to stay,” Kenneth Modiselle, branch manager of Lambton Nedbank said, explaining the bank’s decision to partner with the centre.

Friday marked the first phase of the company’s planned projects with the centre, forming part of their Mandela Day celebration, and saw staff members getting their hands dirty painting and planning a vegetable garden.

Nedbank also donated R50 000 and 30 blankets to the home.

Kau was brought to tears by the team’s generosity and looks forward to the future.
