Mandela Day celebrations continue

The elderly at Elandsvallei Home for the Aged had their home cleaned by members of the Primrose police and Primrose Crime Prevention Youth Desk, last Saturday.

Members of the Primrose police and Primrose Crime Prevention Youth Desk took time out of their busy schedules to visit residents at Elandsvallei Home for the Aged, last Saturday.

“We are gathered here to serve our 67 Minutes for Mandela Day, in remembrance of Mandela’s birthday and hard work,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“We cleaned the home’s garden and yard and we will also spend time with the residents.”

Chantel Bergman, a member of the youth desk, was delighted to serve and said: “I am very happy that we did something special for our elderly citizens.

“We did a great thing and we enjoyed ourselves.”
