Acting on a tip-off from a Makause informal settlement resident, the Primrose police were able to arrest four men in connection with a murder, last Monday.
The murder happened on April 2 in the settlement, and the men, aged between 21 and 27, were traced to Daveyton in Benoni.
“It is reported that the suspects moved from Primrose soon after the crime.
“During the arrests, police found the deceased’s firearm which was taken at the scene of the murder,” said the communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.
The men were all taken to the Primrose Police Station where they were detained pending their appearance in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court.
