Two nabbed for pensioner’s murder

The Primrose police recently arrested two men for allegedly murdering a Wychwood pensioner.

Two men, aged 26 and 27 respectively, were recently arrested by the Primrose police.

The men were charged with the murder of a Wychwood pensioner.

“The murder was reported to the Primrose police on June 16 by the deceased’s wife.

“She told officers that she came home at 3.30pm and found her 66-year-old husband dead on their bed,” said Sgt Styles Maome, the communications officer for the Primrose police.

Police on the scene confirmed that the victim had been strangled with stockings.

Officers traced the accused to Soweto where they were arrested.

“One of the suspects gave the police a full confession,” said Maome.

The men have since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where the case was postponed.
