Three people died and one was critically injured in a car accident at the corner of Main Reef and Field roads, in Germiston, in the early hours of last Thursday morning. ER24 paramedics and other services, including the EMPD and Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Services, arrived on the scene and found the vehicle in which the people were travelling near a cement block on the side of the road.

2. Couple hijacked in driveway: https://bit.ly/29BgTv1

A couple sitting in their vehicle outside the man’s Buhle Park Phase Three home, last Friday, became the victims of hijackers at about 10.45pm. While sitting in the car they were allegedly approached by two men, carrying firearms. They pointed their firearms at the couple and ordered them to get out of the vehicle.

3. Metro investigates Primrose power outage: https://bit.ly/29IBBIX

The metro was aware of the power supply interruption that affected parts of Germiston on Wednesday morning. No further comment was received from the metro on the cause of the outage.

4. National News -Two dead, four wounded in community beer brawl: https://bit.ly/29TAgCh

A 15-year-old-girl sustained a bullet wound during a beer fight between angry residents in eMbalenhle, Mpumalanga. This came after four teenage boys were sent to buy beer at a local tavern, the Ridge Times reported. It is alleged that, on their way back, they came across an unknown man who stopped them and demanded the beer.
