Joburg Today TV met with Fran Luckin, creative director at Grey Advertising and the mastermind behind this controversial yet thought-provoking campaign, to shed some more light on the process behind the dog fight initiative held on Monday, June 27 in Johannesburg.

Vanessa Casey: “I do not think it was in bad taste or shameful, it is a very clever campaign that brought the issue out in the open. Made people wake up to the fact that dog fighting is a cruel horrible thing (can’t call it a sport) it exists and is growing. Now maybe people will sit up and take note and report it if they see something. Maybe people will stop advertising animals ‘free to good homes’. It is known that dog fighters get their bait from these types of adverts.”
