Two suspects, a man, aged 26, and a woman, aged 28, were recently arrested in Spruitview for being in possession of a hijacked motor vehicle (a red Golf 1).
Police spotted two suspicious-looking occupants driving in the vehicle.
They stopped the vehicle and after investigation discovered that the vehicle had false registration plates.
Upon further investigation police found that the vehicle had been hijacked in the Tsakani area in May.
The pair were arrested and are expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s court for being in possession of a hijacked motor vehicle soon.
