East Rand businesses urged to help vulnerable children

Carnival City urges businesses and citizens to make donations towards the cause and help spread hope amongst vulnerable children in the community.

Carnival City’s executives and employees will be spending the night under the stars on July 28.

The objective of the event is to raise awareness and collect necessities for local children’s charities as part of the Sun International Sympathy SleepOut™.

The sleep-out challenges local business leaders to join the global movement to raise funds, awareness and empathy for homelessness and the challenges faced by vulnerable children every day.

Many of the country’s top business leaders have already registered to participate in this year’s event and to be part of #SouthAfricaMustRise.

All donations collected at Carnival City’s Sympathy SleepOut™ will be distributed to deserving children’s charities in the East Rand.

People keen to be part of the spirited sleep-out at Carnival City on July 28 are welcome to stop by from 6pm.

“By donating towards this worthy cause, local companies can help alleviate the burden on local children’s charities by providing warmth, nourishment and other necessities,” said Carnival City’s general manager, Annemie Turk.

Donations of any items such as winter clothing, blankets, non-perishable food and toiletries can be dropped off at Carnival City.

For more information or to make a donation contact Mdu Madonsela on 011 898-7191.
