Creating awareness about business robberies

The Elsburg SAPS visited businesses in Wadeville recently to talk about matters of crime.

Members of the Elsburg SAPS recently held a road show in the Wadeville area.

Under the command of acting station commander Lieut-Col Phiwe Ndwandwe, they visited companies which had recently been targeted by criminals.

The focus of the day was to speak to the employees about crime and how to combat it within their businesses, to try to ensure that similar incidents do not happen again.

The owners/managers were also given safety tips regarding being followed from the bank back to their companies and were provided with an emergency number they could call if the assistance of the police was needed.

“Ndwandwe thanked the police members, EMPD members, local security companies and CPF members who took part in the project,” said WO André de Jager, spokesman for the Germiston SAPS.
