While digging a trench near the Zonkizizwe Clinic local contractors made a grisly discovery.
A human skull and several other human bones were discovered.
Katlehong police were called to the scene and with the help of the contractor’s workers continued to exhume more bones.
“An inquest docket will be opened for investigation after the unit in charge has identified whether or not the area was previously used as a graveyard,” said Capt Mega Ndobe, communications officer for the Katlehong police.
The bones will be sent to the forensic unit in Pretoria to investigate the cause of death before the body was buried.
