The Adler Fahrers, East Rand chapter, were in high spirits at SAVF Die Anker, last Saturday. The club hosted a special fun day for the elderly residents.
The elderly residents of SAVF Die Anker had a day of laughter and dancing and motorbike rides thanks to the East Rand chapter of the Adler Fahrers.
The bikers treated the residents to a spit-braai lunch and a day full of dancing, games and bike rides, last Saturday.
The group decided to host the fun day after hearing about the old age home from the chapter’s president Ejan van der Merwe’s parents who attend church with a lot of the residents.
They felt it was a good starting point, as the chapter plans to become more involved in the community.
The club thanked GCK Grinding, Dog Box Liquor Store, Stewards and Lloyds Irrigation branch and the chapter’s members for the various donations that made the day so successful.
