1. Safeguard your dogs against poisoners: https://bit.ly/1TYVUSb

An Elsburg family was left distraught after their three dogs were poisoned in the early hours of last Tuesday morning. The dogs, Dreamer, Smokie and Lulu, were poisoned at their Olivier Street, Elsburg home and the family’s garden furniture was stolen. Charné Redder told the GCN that when the family woke up they found all three dogs lying dead on the ground.

You said:

  •  Retha Crous, “This is why it’s much better to keep your dogs safely inside the house.”
  •  Rosemary van der Linde, “My garden chairs were also stolen. As a result all my dogs stay inside now, it’s too dangerous for them outside, especially when the street lights are off.”
  •  Fernando Eliseu, “They should poison the people who did this.”

2. Stolen cable causes power outage in several areas of Germiston: https://bit.ly/25QPwEb

Several areas in Germiston were left without power once again on Wednesday. The outage was reportedly caused by the theft of a 33KV feeder cable.

You said:

  •  Michelle Nel, “This is pathetic. How can the metro say Tedstoneville is off when the power is on and only went off in the afternoon? Is the metro telling the truth or is it just plain and simple a lack of maintenance or demand for electricity during the winter months?”
  •  Toy de Carvalho, “The next excuse will be that little green men are stealing the power for their UFOs.”
