Delville drug dealer nabbed

Police officers nab alleged drug dealer, confiscate drugs.

Acting on information regarding a man selling drugs in Delville, the Johannesburg Crime Intelligence team raided a house, on Wednesday, at 4.45pm.

As the police officers tried to enter the suspect’s room at a house in Bapaume Road, the man tried to confuse them so that they would not go inside his room.

“The officers did not let that intimidate them and they entered the suspect’s room and started to search it thoroughly,” said WO André de Jager, spokesman for the Germiston SAPS.

“The officers found three bags containing a white substance in the form of small rocks, suspected to be drugs, hidden in the man’s mattress.

“It is estimated that the street value of the drugs is R16 000.”

The man, aged 45, was arrested by WO Kevin Moloto, WO Joel Matla and WO Parden Makama for dealing in drugs and he was taken to the Germiston Police Station to be detained.

“The suspect will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon,” said de Jager.
