Wife steals husband’s gun

Wife tells husband she had taken his firearm to sell after he discovered it missing.

The Primrose police recently arrested two suspects, a man and woman, for the theft of a firearm.

The arrest was made after the woman’s husband reported the theft to police.

“He told officers that he and his wife had booked into a motel in Barbara Road.

“When they booked in he had his firearm with him,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The complainant explained that he and wife went to sleep and when he woke up he discovered his firearm and wife were both gone.

“His wife returned a while later and he asked where she had been and where his firearm was.

“She allegedly replied that she had taken the firearm and given it to someone to sell,” Maome said.

The pair were arrested and have since appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court, where their case was postponed for plea and trial.
