Tatijana continues to win

Local lass shines at National Eisteddfod.

Germiston resident and Bishop Bavin School pupil Tatijana Ignjatov (10) recently competed in the National Eisteddfod.

The young dancer once again showed she has the talent to make it in the dance world when she was named the winner of the Foundation Phase 2016 for Dance.

Competitors took part in two preliminary rounds which reduced the initial 1 345 entries received down to 76 semi-finalists – individuals and groups in the different genres.

During the semi-final round, Tatijana Ignjatov won overall Foundation Phase for Dance, nationally.

She was then named as one of the talented participants to take part in the finals which were held at the Roodepoort Theatre.

The final round saw 20 talented, young performers (individuals and groups) competing against one another.

The young dancer was on top form and was crowned the overall Foundation Phase 2016 for Dance winner.
