Primrose police encourage young girls

The Primrose police got involved in the Cell C Take a Girl Child to Work Day initiative.

As part of Cell C’s Take a Girl Child to Work Day, last Thursday, girls from local high schools were invited to the Primrose Police Station.

They were hosted by the Primrose police’s women’s network and social crime prevention unit.

The pupils, from Dawnview High School, Hoërskool Primrose High School, Hoërskool Vryburger High School and Hoërskool Goudrif were taken on a tour of each of the departments within the station and were encouraged to ask questions and interact with the officers on duty.

The visit to the station concluded with a presentation by station commander Lieut-Col Albertina Vesi.

Vesi encouraged the girls to study hard and pursue their dreams, as well as giving them some important safety tips.

She concluded her presentation by thanking the schools and parents for supporting the project.
