Members of the Germiston SAPS Reaction Task Team recently uncovered a vehicle theft syndicate. The officers were acting on a tip-off, regarding a 21-year-old man who was allegedly dealing in stolen motor vehicle parts. The officers went to the address given in Leondale and found three positively identified stolen vehicles: a red Toyota Corolla on a KwaTema case number, a blue Toyota Hi-Ace on a Meadowlands case number and a white Toyota Hi-Ace on a Sasolburg case number.

Several areas in Germiston were left without power from the early hours of last Thursday morning. The Germiston City News received a call from an elderly Elspark resident. “I am at my wits end; the metro pruned the trees in the area and left the branches on the pavement. That was a month ago,” he said. He explained that each time they reported the matter to the metro residents were told that the pavements would be cleaned and the branches removed, but still nothing had been done.

4. Monday morning brings power blues again: https://bit.ly/25hbCCK

The GCN was aware of the fact that a power outage had once again affected numerous parts of Germiston, last Monday.
