The Primrose Police recently arrested five suspects for the possession of dagga, in the informal settlements of Primrose.
The arrests were made during stop-and-searches held in the Makause, Delport and Marathon informal settlements.
The five men were found with dagga in their pockets when they were searched by police.
“We continue to appeal to the community to remember that dagga is still regarded as a drug and anyone found in possession of it will face criminal charges,” said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.
A number of the accused paid admission of guilt fines and were released, while others appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court and were released on a warning.
