A burglary suspect was recently apprehended by local security company reaction officers, in the early hours of the morning, on a property in Main Reef Road, Primrose.
Just before 3am in the morning, a staff member living on the property saw the man and an accomplice force the gate open to gain access to the property, before forcing open the burglar bars and breaking a window to enter the premises.
The staff member immediately informed ADT and thanks to their quick response, the reaction officers managed to apprehend one of the suspects.
The other suspect fled the scene.
Security tips from ADT:
- Carry a remote panic button at all times when you are at home and equip your domestic staff with panic buttons.
- Keep doors/security gates locked at all times.
- Arm your alarm whenever you leave home and when you go to bed.
- Ensure your gate is secured at all times.
- Report any suspicious behaviour to the SAPS or your security provider immediately.
