Many residents in Germiston have complained that the metro takes too long to respond to their complaints.
And Deleen Leyland is no different, she has been battling to have the leaking water meter at her complex at the corner of Lente Road and Saffier Street, in Klopper Park, fixed since December 2012.
“We, the residents of the complex are expected to pay extra on our bills each month to compensate for the water that is being wasted,” she said.
Despite numerous calls to the metro and a visit to their office, Leyland said no metro technicians had been to inspect the meter.
“The meter has not been read or even visited since it began leaking.
“This is evident by the rubbish and debris around it,” she added.
The GCN contacted the metro in an attempt to get comment on the matter, but, despite numerous attempts, no comment had been received at the time of publication.
