Children taught to tidy up

The Primrose and Germiston social crime prevention units, together with representatives from Mathomomayo Cleaning Services and Caltex visited the children of Leeupoort Primary School.

The children of Leeupoort Primary School in Driehoek were thrilled when Primrose and Germiston social crime prevention officers, together with representatives from Mathomomayo Cleaning Services and Caltex visited, recently.

The pupils were taught to have a good sense of personal hygiene by Selina Melubula, a representative of Mathomomayo Cleaning Services.

They were also taught not to litter and to keep their environment clean by Anwar Sayed, from Caltex.

Sayed’s sentiments were echoed by Nazir Patel who also encouraged the children to save water and electricity.

It was then the turn of the local police and Const Queen Sibeko (from the Germiston SAPS), spoke to the children about crimes in the area and urged them to respect school property and to not walk around on their own at night.

The school’s management thanked all who visited the school, and believed the pupils had a lot to think about going forward.
