Don’t make yourself vunerable – say police

Primrose police are concerned with the rise in the number of assault and domestic violence cases in the area.

The Primrose police are warning the community, after noting a rise in the number of assault and domestic violence cases in the area.

“Cases such as domestic violence, assault and even rape are showing an increase in the area,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“It appears that liquor abuse is still a large contributor to these crimes.”

The police are, therefore, appealing to the community, especially in the informal settlements, to refrain from making themselves vulnerable.

“Community members must stop walking around when it is dark or going to the tavern late at night,” said Maome.
