Primrose police arrest 32 suspects in a week

The Primrose police share their latest arrest statistics.

From February 15 to 21, the Primrose police arrested 32 suspects.

The accused were arrested in the Primrose area on various charges including;

  •  Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 5
  •  Sexual assault: 1
  •  Housebreaking and theft: 2
  •  Common assault: 1
  •  Armed robbery: 1
  •  Warrant of arrest: 1
  •  Possession of drugs: 7
  •  Possession of stolen property: 1
  •  Driving under the influence of alcohol: 4
  •  Shoplifting: 1
  • Illegal immigrants: 3

The Primrose SAPS station commander, Lieut-Col Albertina Vesi, thanked everyone who contributed to the arrests.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their cases were postponed for various reasons.

The illegal immigrants will be sent to Lindela, for deportation.
