The Monday power curse is back with residents being left powerless again.
The suburbs of Germiston North, Fishers’ Hill, Sunnyridge, Dukathole, Meadowbrook, Meadowdale Indstrial area, Rustivia and Wychwood have been left in the dark.
The GCN requested comment from the metro as to the cause of the power outage.
Themba Gadebe, spokesman for the metro said, “The metro wishes to inform residents and businesses in parts of Germiston that it is aware of the electricity supply interruption in the area.
“Ekurhuleni technicians are currently carrying out investigations to identify the cause of the interruption before commencing with the restoration work.
“The metro apologises for any inconvenience caused and reminds customers to treat the network as electrically live at all times.”
