After discovering that his car radio had been stolen during the night, recently, a Primrose resident opened a case with the Primrose police.
“During a stop-and-search operation in the area, officers found a car radio, fitting the description of the one stolen, in the possession of a 29-year-old man.
“He could not tell the officers from where he had obtained the radio and he was arrested,” said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.
Police took the suspect to the complainant, who confirmed that the radio was his and identified the man as his neighbour.
The man was taken to the Primrose Police Station where he was charged with the possession of suspected stolen property.
He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where his case was postponed for plea and trial.
