Children taught about smash-and-grabs

The Primrose police recently visited the students of Sunnyridge Primary School to teach them about the dangers of smash-and-grabs.

Primrose police have noted a rise in the number of smash-and-grab cases in the area.

With this in mind, a team from the police station visited the students of Sunnyridge Primary School, to teach them how to avoid becoming a victim of a smash-and-grab.

“We asked the pupils to always remind their parents to store any valuable items out of sight when driving, and to be extra careful when driving in known smash-and-grab hotspots,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The officers also encouraged the children not to play on their cellphones or other electronic equipment when they are in a vehicle which is stopped at a robot.

“We hope the scholars will play a vital role in educating their own parents,” said Maome.
