Several suburbs in Germiston were left without power this morning, after a failed cable theft.
The metro acknowledged that Marlands, Primrose, Wychwood, Malvern East, Woodmere, Fishers’ Hill and Germiton Extention Eight and Nine were without power but expected power to be restored to all areas by 10.30am.
“If residents experience any other problems they should report them to the metro’s call taking centre,” said Themba Gadebe, spokesman for the metro.
