On a recent night out with friends in the Makause informal settlement, a man claimed, he was brutally attacked by an unknown assailant.
“The victim said the man attacked him without a word of warning, stabbing him several times in the upper body with a sharp object,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
After the incident the man opened a case with the Primrose police.
“Using the description given by the victim, officers were able to trace and arrest the accused,” Maome said.
The 28-year-old man was charged with attempted murder and has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where his case was postponed for plea and trial.
