The Primrose SAPS recently arrested two men for an alleged house robbery. The robbery took place in Norman Road, Bedfordview, where, the complainant alleged, while they were busy cooking, they were confronted by three men, one of whom was armed with a firearm. The men demanded money and jewellery.

The metro responded to residents’ queries about a power supply interruption that recently affected parts of Germiston. “The interruption is due to a damaged 33KV cable that was drilled through by a contractor working in the Albemarle area,” said metro spokesman Themba Gadebe.

Netcare 911 paramedics raced to the scene of a drowning in Dinwiddie, recently. “Reports from the scene indicated that a three-year-old boy was found floating in a private swimming pool. “Exact details as to the events leading up to him falling in will remain a subject for police investigation,” said Chris Botha, media liaison officer at Netcare 911.
