The South African Weather Service has released a warning of severe thunderstorms.
This is the second consecutive day of severe thunderstorms warnings.
Severe thunderstorms (between 2pm and 8pm) with possible large hail and damaging winds have been predicted.
This is in addition to warnings of potential veld fires, extreme heat (in the North of Gauteng) and high discomfort levels.
Community members are urged to take the necessary precautions.
When travelling by car in wet weather remember to reduce your speed, keep your lights on and increase and maintain a safe following distance.
Vehicles and animals should also have appropriate shelter during this time.
