Tools stolen during business robbery

Two former employees allegedly rob local business.

When a Stanhope Road business owner returned to his business after the festive season, he discovered he’d been robbed.

“The complainant alleged that when he arrived at the business he discovered that a widow had been forced open,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

Upon further investigation, the owner found that a box drill, socket set, compressor and test machine had been taken.

“He checked the business’s CCTV footage and identified the alleged robbers as two of his former employees,” Maome said.

The two men were later tracked down and arrested by police.

The 32-year-old and 36-year-old will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
