Primrose police welcome new commander

Lieut-Col Albertina Vesi will be taking over the position of station commander at the Primrose Police Station.

The Primrose police have said farewell to Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo, and welcomed Lieut-Col Albertina Vesi as the new station commander.

Vesi takes the reins as station commander after 21 years in the SAPS.

The wife, mother of four and grandmother was born and raised in Pretoria and received a B-Tech degree in policing from Unisa.

After completing her basic training she served at the Rietgat Police Station for two years, before moving to Germiston, after getting married.

She has worked at both the Germiston and Elsburg Police Stations and was promoted to Lieut-Col in 2005.

She was then transferred to the Springs Police Station, where she has served until now.

Vesi aims to serve the community of Primrose with dignity and respect.

“She will strive, together with her colleagues, to create and promote a safe and secure environment for the community of Primrose and their properties.

“We welcome her and thank her for joining the winning team.

“Together we will declare war against crime,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communication officer for the Primrose police.
