Community pulls together to collect water

The Din-Al-View community opened their hearts to people living in drought-stricken areas.

Caroline van Saasen is the co-founder of Water Shortage SA, a Facebook page encouraging travellers to take water with them as they travel and give it to people who are affected by drought.

In response to this appeal, Din-Al-View CPF patrollers, at short notice, collected almost 500 litres of bottled water in one evening from community members.

The water was transported to drought-stricken areas on January 7 and the CPF thanks Rita Boshoff for proving it with the information regarding the distribution of water.

The CPF thanks all residents of Sector Five who responded to this call for assistance at such short notice and is thrilled at the overwhelming response.
