Man allegedly stabbed to death in Delport informal settlement

Police find man attempting to wash victim’s blood from his clothes.

A 35-year-old old man was recently arrested by the Primrose police for a murder that took place in the Delport informal settlement.

Officers first heard about the crime when the victim was declared dead on arrival at the Bertha Gxowa Hospital.

“It is alleged that the victim was stabbed with an unknown object, in the Delport informal settlement, and sustained an injury to the upper body,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

Police followed the leads and arrested the accused.

“He was caught attempting to wash blood from the clothes he was wearing,” Maome said.

He was detained at Primrose Police Station pending his appearance in the Germiston Magistrates Court.
