Local CPF pays tribute to a job well done
CPF honours hard work and dedication from members and the SAPS.
The Elsburg CPF recently hosted a special awards function at its clubhouse, in Els Street, Elsburg.
The occasion honoured the dedication and hard work of both CPF members and the Elsburg SAPS throughout the year.
Awards were handed out to CPF patrollers who were nominated by CPF members for various reasons, ranging from call outs to performance of their designated tasks.
The following Cluster CPF members received awards: William Eales, Margaret Sekul, Linda Dormehl, Reginald Mashabane, Raymond Nkombuhle, Elize Hern, Riaan de Beer, Lorette de Beer, Johan Butler, Charlene Schoombie, André Bester, Jeandré Potgieter, Andy Garvie, Stephan Butler, Le Roux Swanepoel, Gerhard Oelofse, Mary Bester, Karen Swanepoel and Lanie Eales.
The police officers were all nominated by CPF members, as well as their colleagues.
Consts Eric Ramasodi and Evans Seerane received the award for outstanding service and protection of CPF member Johan Butler, who they helped when he was shot at during a call out, one night.
Col André Snyman, WO Eldrid Whalen and Sgt Sam Molopyane received an award for assisting the CPF after a car thief was apprehended.
Const Erin Palmer received an award for her outstanding performance as the sector manager, and for the successful arrest of three drug dealers in one night.
Other police officers who received awards for their performance while doing their various daily tasks are Col Veeshani Arikum, Sgt Jabu Zamisa, Const Matlou Matsobane, Const Lee-Ann Lottering, Const Daphney Phooko, CA Charmaine van Rensburg, Const Azwinaki Neduvhuledza, Const Petrus Mahlatsi, Const Rose Monageng, WO Selby Masondo, Const Thokozani Mpanza, Const Lesego Morekisi, WO Coenrad Scheepers and Lieut-Col Johannes Mthiyane.
