German couple Bane Schween (24) and Hanna Alt (23) wanted to experience South Africa in their own unique way.
That is why the couple decided to bring their bicycles with them when they visited the country recently.
Local business owner Trevor Da Silva contacted the GCN about Bane and Hanna’s planned trip.
“I met the couple when they stopped in at my business,” he explained.
Starting out from Germiston the pair travelled to Lesotho, camping where they could along the way, before setting their sights on the Cape.
The couple recently reached their final destination, Cape Town.
“I find them so inspiring,” Trevor said. “Their can-do attitude and love for our country is truly amazing.”
“This trip has opened up our hearts and shown the real wonderful happiness that is in each of us,” said Hanna.
